Celebrating Folk, Blues, and Roots Music at Tranzac Club from February 14–16, 2025
Toronto, ON – January 20, 2025 – Winterfolk, Toronto’s premier festival celebrating the heart and soul of folk, blues, and roots music, is back for its 23rd year from February 14–16, 2025. The three-day event will take place at the iconic Tranzac Club, bringing together an exciting mix of established artists, emerging talent, and community-driven performances, all set to ignite the spirit of live music and inspire audiences of all ages.
This year’s festival promises a stellar lineup, featuring celebrated performers such as Michael Jerome Browne, Dala, Donné Roberts, Russell deCarle, Amanda Rheaume, and Tannis Slimmon, alongside rising stars and collaborations that showcase the evolution of roots music. The event underscores Winterfolk’s commitment to fostering the continued growth of folk, blues, and roots music, particularly by highlighting young talent and fresh voices.

Winterfolk XXIII Highlights
Opening Night – Friday, February 14, 2025:
Kick off the festival with “Valentine Voices: A Night of Female Power,” featuring performances by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Lynn Miles, Melanie Peterson, and more artists to be announced. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening of inspiring music by some of the most talented women in roots music.
Saturday, February 15, 2025:
A full day of music will include performances by fan-favorites Dala, Robert Priest, Tannis Slimmon, Noah Zacharin, and many more. The day will also feature the much-anticipated “Blues of Winterfolk” showcase, starring Toronto Blues Society rising star Jesse Greene. Workshops, guitar sessions, and other interactive events will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the roots music community.
Sunday, February 16, 2025:
The final day of the festival will spotlight community music organizations and their contributions to the cultural landscape, with performances by Ken Whiteley, Michael Jerome Browne, and Amanda Rheaume, offering a glimpse into the past and future of folk, blues, and roots music.
